Upon arrival at the Thai–Lao Friendship Border in Houay Xay, begin an unforgettable journey
along the legendary Mekong River. Board the Mekong Smile Cruise and set sail downstream
through some of Northern Laos' most scenic landscapes.

The first stop will be at Paktha, an important checkpoint along the river route. Continue cruising
to a local hill tribe village where you will have the opportunity to learn about traditional
lifestyles, customs, and culture of the local communities.

A buffet lunch is served on board as the cruise continues through beautiful river scenery. Spend
the afternoon relaxing on deck while observing daily life along the banks of the Mekong.

Arrive in Pakbeng before sunset and transfer to your accommodation.

Dinner and overnight in Pakbeng.

Early risers may wish to visit Pakbeng's morning market and observe local life before breakfast.

After breakfast, continue your cruise downstream toward Luang Prabang. The first visit is Ban
Baw Village, known for its traditional Lao rice whisky production, handwoven textiles, and local
handicrafts.

Enjoy a buffet lunch on board while cruising through spectacular river landscapes.

Later, visit the famous Pak Ou Caves, one of Laos' most important spiritual sites. Explore both
Tham Ting and Tham Phoum caves, home to thousands of Buddha statues and images collected
by pilgrims over centuries.

Continue cruising toward Luang Prabang, the UNESCO World Heritage city. Upon arrival
before sunset, transfer from the pier to your hotel.

Dinner at a local restaurant and overnight in Luang Prabang.

Begin the day with a visit to the Royal Palace Museum, offering insight into Laos' royal history
and cultural heritage. Continue to Wat Sene and the magnificent Wat Xieng Thong, one of the
most beautiful and significant temples in the country.

After lunch at a local restaurant, travel to the stunning Kuang Si Waterfall, famous for its
turquoise pools and multi-tiered cascades surrounded by lush forest.

In the late afternoon, climb Phousi Hill for panoramic views over Luang Prabang, the Mekong
River, and the surrounding mountains. Before returning to the hotel, browse the vibrant Luang
Prabang Night Market, where local artisans offer handicrafts, textiles, and traditional products.

Overnight in Luang Prabang.

After breakfast, travel with your guide to the Elephant Village, located approximately 15
kilometers from Luang Prabang in a peaceful natural setting along the Nam Khan River.

Meet the protected Asian elephants and learn about the conservation efforts that support these
magnificent animals. Enjoy a scenic one-hour elephant ride through forests, riverside landscapes,
and rolling hills while experiencing the beauty of the surrounding countryside.

Continue by boat to Tad Sae Waterfall (seasonal and dependent on water levels), where you can
relax, swim, and enjoy the natural surroundings.

Return to the Elephant Village for a buffet lunch.

After lunch, transfer back to Luang Prabang and enjoy the remainder of the afternoon at leisure.
