Southern Laos Highlights: Pakse & 4000 Islands 4 Days / 3 Nights

Upon arrival in Pakse, meet your local guide and begin your journey to the historic town of
Champasak. Explore the ancient Vat Phou Temple, an impressive Khmer sanctuary dating from
the 8th to 11th centuries, and visit the local museum to learn more about the region's rich cultural
heritage.

After lunch at a local restaurant, cross the Mekong River to the peaceful island of Don Daeng
and check in at La Folie Lodge. Spend the afternoon at your leisure—cycle through traditional
villages, stroll around the island, relax by the swimming pool, or simply enjoy the stunning
views of the Mekong River and the mountains surrounding Champasak.

Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

Enjoy breakfast at the lodge before setting off to explore the famous Si Phan Don (4000 Islands)
region. Travel by ferry and road to the magnificent Khone Phapheng Waterfall, the largest
waterfall in Southeast Asia and one of Laos' most spectacular natural wonders.

Continue to the river port and board a local ferry to Don Khon and Don Det Islands. Visit the
historic French railway bridge linking the two islands and see the old locomotive that reflects the
area's colonial past. A leisurely walk leads to the beautiful Liphi Waterfall, known for its
powerful rapids and picturesque surroundings.

After lunch at a local restaurant, return to Don Daeng by road and ferry.

After breakfast, cross the Mekong River and journey to the scenic Bolaven Plateau, a highland
region renowned for its cool climate, fertile soil, and world-famous Lao coffee. Visit a local
plantation to gain insight into the cultivation of coffee and tea that thrive in this unique
landscape.

Continue to Tad Fane Waterfall, one of the most impressive waterfalls in Laos, dramatically
cascading through pristine rainforest. The day's exploration also includes visits to Tad Phasuam
Waterfall and Tad Yeuang Waterfall, each offering its own distinctive beauty and natural charm.

Following lunch at a local restaurant, return to Pakse. If time permits, stop at Dao Heuang
Market, a lively local market where visitors can experience everyday life in Southern Laos. Upon
arrival in Pakse, transfer to your hotel and check in.
